THE ROLE
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading MFS Greenwood’s digital communications presence, including the planning, creation, and management of content across social media platforms (e.g., Facebook and Instagram). Experience with Meta Business Suite or similar social media management tools is considered an asset.
The candidate will oversee the administration and ongoing content updates of the MFS Greenwood section of the CFMWS website, ensuring information remains accurate, accessible, and aligned with organizational standards.
Responsibilities also include the development, coordination, and distribution of a monthly electronic newsletter to promote programs, services, and community initiatives to military families.
The successful candidate will collaborate with internal program staff to gather content, ensure consistent messaging across platforms, and enhance visibility of services within the Greenwood community.
Experience with basic graphic design and visual content creation (e.g., Canva or Adobe tools) is considered a strong asset.
The candidate will support content planning through the use of a communications calendar and contribute to continuous improvement of digital engagement practices.
The candidate will monitor engagement and adjust content approaches to improve reach and awareness of MFS Greenwood programs and services.
Bilingual communication (English/French) is considered an asset to support inclusive service delivery.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
Education, Certifications and Licenses
College Diploma in Social Services, Mental Health, Human Services, or a related field, AND several years of experience in human/family services and providing front line support
Experience
In evidence-based approach for psychosocial services
In working with a cross-section of the community
In conducting client needs assessments for referral
In providing front line support
In non-violent crisis intervention
In emergency response to critical incidents
In supportive counselling and critical incident stress debriefing procedures
In researching, establishing, sustaining and fostering a network of community contacts and partnerships
In preparing reports
In data collection and statistical analysis
In public relations and marketing (facilitating and monitoring social media sites an asset)
In applying policies, procedures and regulations
In providing emotional support
In planning and conducting presentations

This is an on-site position with an assigned work location.
This is a temporary position with an anticipated start date of August 10, 2026 and end date of March 31, 2027.
As part of the selection process, the successful candidate must successfully complete a Reliability status security screening and a Vulnerable Sector Check.
