We also produce awarding winning craft beer & cider under our Thornbury Craft Co. brand. We proudly produce Thornbury Premium Apple Cider, a top selling craft cider at the LCBO. We also produce several other ciders that are widely available in the LCBO and Grocery channel, such as Thornbury Cranberry Apple Cider, Thornbury Honeycrisp Apple Cider, and Thornbury Wild Blueberry Elderflower Apple Cider. We offer additional ciders at our on-site Retail Store and Tap Room in Thornbury Ontario. We pride ourselves on using only top-quality ingredients and 100% fresh-pressed Ontario apples.
Our brewery in Thornbury produces a wide selection of beers made in the heart of the Blue Mountains. Our Thornbury Pilsner has twice been awarded the World’s Best Lager Czech-Style Pale at the World Beer Awards. Our portfolio of craft beers can be found at the LCBO, in the Grocery channel and in bars and restaurants across Ontario.
Position Summary
Reporting to the VP of Operations, the Operations & Supply Chain Coordinator will provide administrative and analytical support to the Operations and Supply Chain teams. The successful candidate will coordinate purchasing activities, maintain inventory and product data, prepare operational reports, assist with planning processes, and support cross-functional initiatives that help ensure efficient business operations.
This role requires a highly organized professional who can manage multiple priorities, analyze data, communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with inventory management, monitoring stock levels, and supporting inventory reconciliation activities.
- Coordinate purchase orders, supplier communications, and invoice verification.
- Maintain accurate product, pricing, supplier, and inventory data within company systems.
- Prepare and distribute operational, inventory, sales, and forecasting reports.
- Support demand planning and supply planning processes through data collection and analysis.
- Assist with production scheduling and coordination between operations, sales, and supply chain teams.
- Monitor inventory movement and identify potential supply issues, shortages, or excess inventory.
- Support new product launches by coordinating information across departments.
- Prepare spreadsheets, presentations, and reports for management review.
- Assist with payroll-related reporting, data entry, and administrative functions as required.
- Coordinate office supplies and operational purchasing requirements.
- Handle requests for information and maintain organized electronic and physical records.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and special projects.
- Provide general administrative support to the Operations team.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Commerce, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in supply chain, operations, inventory control, purchasing, administration, or a related role.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience working with ERP systems (SAP experience considered a strong asset).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for operational efficiencies through the effective use of technology and process improvements.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within beverage alcohol, consumer packaged goods (CPG), manufacturing, or distribution environments.
- Understanding of inventory management, forecasting, purchasing, and production planning concepts.
- Strong understanding of inventory costing methodologies, including standard costing, FIFO, and inventory accounting principles.
- Familiarity with Bill of Materials (BOM) structures and their application within manufacturing and inventory management environments.
- Experience with inventory valuation, cycle count programs, physical inventory audits, and inventory reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy and financial integrity.
- Knowledge of provincial liquor board processes and regulations considered an asset.
- Experience preparing and analyzing operational performance reports.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
