50th Parallel Estate Winery is seeking a Office Administrator.

50th Parallel Estate Winery is an award winning winery in the central Okanagan Valley. We are a medium sized winery with a established and long serving team that we operates together as a family. We are looking for an individual with great personality and experience in financial activities and office administration, a banking background or previous administration/bookkeeping experience is required. GENERAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

-Reconciliation of company books with bank accounts;

-Management and payment of accounts payable and accounts receivable;

-Bi-weekly payroll preparation;

-Bank deposits;

-Preparation of weekly cash flow report;

-Participation in scheduled meetings;

-Preparation of monthly financial reports including, but not limited to:

Wines Sales Reports
Profit and Loss Report
Balance Sheet
Inventory Report
Accounts Receivable Report
Accounts Payable Report

-Quarterly remittance of GST and other taxes;

-Assist in preparation of yearly budget and cash flow;

-Assist and advise other staff (ie. winemaker, sales/marketing and restaurant manager) with day to day financial and accounting issues;

-Assist external accounting firm with year end close out and provide accounting information for external audit and tax preparation;

-Monthly inventory management/reconcilliation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

-Accounting degree or diploma with a minimum of 5 years experience working in financial administration, and preferably in the wine industry.

SKILLS:

-Strong computer skills including - accounting systems , Sage and MS Office experience required;

-Ability to work autonomously;

Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills;

Exceptional oral and written communication skills;

Committed attention to detail;

Ability to work well in a team environment;

Wine industry experience a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
