Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Framer/Carpenter/Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves working on residential, commercial, and restoration projects, providing essential support in framing, carpentry, and general labor tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience with construction processes, be comfortable operating various tools and equipment, and possess a strong work ethic to contribute to successful project completion.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to accurately execute project specifications
- Frame walls, floors, roofs, and other structural components using hand tools and power tools
- Perform concrete forming and finishing tasks as required for foundation or structural work
- Assist with siding installation and other exterior finishing tasks
- Operate heavy equipment safely for material handling and site preparation
- Conduct welding and woodworking tasks to meet project needs
- Handle heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely throughout the worksite
- Support restoration projects by repairing or replacing damaged structures or surfaces
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency
- Follow all safety protocols and adhere to OSHA standards during daily operations
Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics, and construction drawings
- Experience with concrete forming, finishing, and related tasks
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy machinery operation
- Knowledge of carpentry techniques including framing, siding installation, and woodworking
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong understanding of construction safety procedures and protocols
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions
- Physical stamina to perform demanding labor tasks in various weather conditions
- Prior experience in restoration projects is a plus but not required
