Essex Weld Solutions has immediate openings for full-time Experienced Welders/Fitters to work in our Essex and Leamington, Ontario locations.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include but are not limited to Production MIG welding, repair welding, grinding, cutting and other duties as required.
Section functions of the job are:
- Weld in various positions (vertical, horizontal, overhead etc.)
- Weld sub-assemblies and racks as per process sheets and blue prints
- Ensure all products adhere to the production specifications of the customer
- Utilize jigs and fixtures to produce successful parts and report any defects immediately
- Read and interpret blue prints and process sheets
- Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment
- Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
- Read a tape measure to take critical measurements
- Conduct repairs, modifications or retrofits
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment i.e. work station, lunchroom etc.
- Participate in continuous improvements, 5S and 8 Waste initiatives, including and not limited to processes, production flow etc.
- Adhere to Section 28 of OHSA (Canada)
- Practice safe and proper use of machinery and tools
QUALIFICATIONS (minimum experience/abilities required)
- Minimum of 3+ years of MIG welding experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- CWB certification considered an asset
- Strong knowledge of CSA W47.1 welding standards and quality requirements, with the ability to consistently produce welds that meet specification
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols and technical drawings.
- Experience welding with carbon steel, stainless steel, and/or aluminum (as applicable)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Reliable attendance and dedication to workplace safety
- Capable of lifting in excess of 40 lbs.
- Available to work days or afternoons shift.
Successful candidates will be required to complete a hands-on weld test as part of the interview process.
WAGE: $24-$34 per hour (dependent on experience)
