Gymnastics Coach – Recreational & Pre-School

$15-$17 an hour

Shift & Schedule:
· 1-3 hour shifts (3-9 hours/weekly)
· Tuesday & Thursday Evenings (typically 4:30-8:30pm)
· Friday Afternoons (occasionally)
· Saturday Mornings / Early Afternoons
Start Date:
· Anticipated Start Date: Week of Tuesday August 4
What you’ll be doing:
· Greeting Athletes and Parents and directing them to appropriate classes
· Taking class attendance
· Following schedules and weekly skill expectations
· Explaining and demonstrating of basic Pre-school & Recreational Gymnastics skills (ability to forward roll & cartwheel is beneficial)
· Complete session athlete testing and report card comments
· Report to Senior Coaching staff and the GymCoordinator on class management and provide feedback to assist in athlete development
· Assist with light cleaning and set-up/take-down of gymnastics equipment at the end of the shift
· We offer three 10-week Sessions (Fall, Winter & Spring), with the option of Birthday Party (Friday – Sunday) & Summer Day Camp hours (July & August)
What we are looking for:
· Communication skills both verbally and written. The ability to effectively communicate with Parents, Athletes and other Coaches in a polite and professional manner
· Conflict resolution and problem-solving capabilities. The ability to think quickly and come to a resolution in a timely manner
· Positive demeanour, Talkative, Outgoing
· Patient, Professional and a Team player
· Reliable with good time management skills. The ability to follow schedules, plan and think ahead
· Must LOVE working with children
· A desire to help children learn and achieve their goals
· Ability to foster an inclusive environment for all athletes
· Active individual who will get involved, demonstrate and be moving for the duration of a class
· A background in Gymnastics, Dance or Cheerleading is an asset, however, will provide training for the right candidate
· Must be 18 years of age or older (will consider younger for the right candidate)
· Willing to attend and complete certification courses
Additional Information:
· Eclipse Gymnastics is a family run facility which has been operating since 2014. The right candidate would have the opportunity to grow with the company. A part-time position could lead to a full-time position as our programming is constantly expanding. All training hours are paid, and a wage increase would be available after 3-months of employment. Extended Health care and Dental benefits available for Full Time employees.
· Anticipated Start Date: Week of Tuesday August 4
· Month of August will be training hours before the Fall session begins in September
