INDIGENOUS COUNSELLOR

POSITION TITLE: Indigenous Counsellor (1.0 FTE)
SALARY RANGE: $60,090 - $73,499 (based on a 1.0 FTE)
DATE OF VACANCY: 2026 September 2
APPLICATION DEADLINE: 2026 July 9

POSITION SUMMARY: The Indigenous Counselor provides school-based prevention and intervention services to address the social and emotional barriers to learning for First Nations, Métis, and Inuit students in elementary, secondary and alternative school settings.

QUALIFICATIONS: Successful completion of a two-year Degree or Diploma in Child and Youth Counselling, Social Service Work or Child Studies and a minimum of one (1) year experience in a school Board or community agency providing counselling services to children and families.

The recruitment process requires a criminal background check for work with vulnerable persons.
