Role Summary
The Coordinator, Cronyn-Warner Place serves as the operational anchor and frontline supervisory leader for our Cronyn-Warner Place location. Working in close collaboration with the Manager of Community Programs and the HR Manager, you will lead day-to-day operations, direct staff supervision, scheduling, coaching, and program delivery.
This role balances trauma-informed frontline leadership with administrative diligence, ensuring our programs run safely, efficiently, and aligned with Ark Aid’s Christian values.
Key Responsibilities
Frontline Supervisory Leadership & Staff Development
- Supervise frontline housing staff, project leads, and site volunteers in compliance with HR policies.
- Deliver site-specific onboarding, hands-on operational training, and ongoing staff development.
- Conduct regular check-ins, track performance, and partner with HR on evaluations and performance management.
- Manage master shift schedules, fill coverage gaps, and monitor attendance within budget constraints.
- Guide teams through critical incident debriefs using high emotional intelligence and discretion.
Program Coordination & Life Stabilization
- Oversee daily life skills programs, housing stabilization efforts, and client intake processes.
- Maintain accurate client tracking and outcome data in HIFIS (Homeless Individuals and Families Information System).
- De-escalate behavioral crises and lead real-time conflict resolution to maintain a safe environment.
- Continuously evaluate operational workflows and implement policy improvements.
- Provide temporary leadership at auxiliary or seasonal sites (e.g., Winter Response) as operational needs shift.
Health, Safety & Risk Management
- Maintain strict compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards and sanitation guidelines.
- Perform routine risk assessments, identify hazards, and ensure timely incident reporting.
- Train staff on overdose prevention (Naloxone), emergency response protocols, and biohazard safety.
Community Partnerships & Communication
- Build relationships with social service partners, healthcare providers, emergency services, and neighbors.
- Serve as a communication bridge between frontline staff, HR, and senior leadership.
- Champion Ark Aid’s faith-based mission, vision, and core values in all interactions.
Qualifications & Requirements
Required:
- Education: Post-secondary diploma or degree in Social Work, Social Service Work, Human Services, or a related field.
- Supervisory Experience: Proven track record in staff training, scheduling, performance coaching, and team management in a social service environment.
- Database Skills: Hands-on experience using HIFIS or equivalent social service databases.
- Mission Alignment: Demonstrable commitment to Ark Aid’s Christian values and community-focused mission.
- Certifications: Valid CPR/First Aid Certification and a clear Vulnerable Sector Check.
Preferred:
- Formal leadership, adult education, or supervisory certifications.
- Direct experience managing supportive residential housing or seasonal emergency shelters.
- Experience collaborating with HR teams on formal performance management processes.

Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Frontline Setting: Active environment within harm-reduction settings, carrying potential second-hand exposure to substances, bodily fluids, or vector-borne pests (full PPE, training, and protocols provided).
- Crisis Readiness: Direct participation in emergency responses, including Naloxone administration and crisis de-escalation.
- Physical Mobility: Walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs required.
- Travel: Based at Cronyn-Warner Place, with local travel to secondary Ark Aid sites as needed.
