Whiteout Group Inc. is looking for a Full-Time, dedicated team players with asphalt finishing experience in the construction industry, who are hardworking, take pride in their work, and have knowledge of industry safety standards, procedures and working as a team player with other to execute tasks as assigned.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Operate asphalt roller to pack and finish asphalt to meet quality standards and specifications as instructed by crew foreman to ensure daily schedules are met.
- Hand place asphalt obtaining proper depth, grade and finish.
- Operate asphalt loot to obtain proper grade and finish.
- Observe the distribution of paving material along the screed and control the direction of the screed to eliminate voids at curbs and joints.
- Ability to operate or willingness to learn to operate other equipment and new positions required on an asphalt crew.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Ability to complete job on time with attention to detail and emphasis on craftsmanship.
- Thorough understanding of all aspects of the paving industry including preparatory work, grades, drainage, paving patterns, aggregate size, job specifications, oil consistencies, compaction and other details related to asphalt paving.
- Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees and sub-contractors to adopt safety as a culture.
Experience & Requirements:
- Experience in Heavy Construction considered an asset.
- Asphalt finishing experience minimum 2 years.
- Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions including heat, cold, wind, rain, and dusty environments.
- Be willing to work long hours and weekends when necessary.
- Communication skills: Ability to communicate with supervisors, co-workers, contractors and the general public in a courteous, professional manner.
- Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
- Use of Personal Protective Equipment is required.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with clean driving abstract is a must. Class 3/with air is an asset.
Wage is dependent on experience.

Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour
