Revitalize Osteopathic Wellness Studio is a growing multidisciplinary clinic in Medicine Hat focused on helping people move better, recover faster, and live with less pain. Our clinic offers Manual Osteopathy, Massage Therapy, Shockwave Therapy, Chiropractic care, recovery services, and other performance-focused treatments.
We are looking for a motivated, professional, and patient-focused Shockwave Therapy Assistant to join our team.
Position Overview
The Shockwave Therapy Assistant will support the delivery of Shockwave Therapy treatments under the direction and training of our clinical team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of anatomy, rehabilitation, patient care, and musculoskeletal conditions.
The successful candidate must have either of the following:
- A Physical Therapy Assistant / Occupational Therapy Assistant diploma, or
- A Kinesiology degree
No prior shockwave therapy experience is required. Full in-house training will be provided.
Compensation
- Starting wage: $20.00 per hour
- Wage increases to $25.00 per hour after successful completion of 200 hours of in-house Shockwave Therapy training
- Ongoing mentorship and clinical education provided
Responsibilities
- Assist with Shockwave Therapy treatments following clinic protocols
- Prepare treatment rooms, equipment, and patient areas
- Educate patients on what to expect during treatment
- Maintain accurate treatment notes and documentation
- Follow infection control, safety, and clinic procedures
- Communicate professionally with patients and team members
- Support patient flow and clinic efficiency
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional treatment environment
- Recognize when a patient concern should be referred back to the supervising clinician
Required Qualifications
- Physical Therapy Assistant / Occupational Therapy Assistant diploma or Kinesiology degree
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and musculoskeletal conditions
- Professional communication skills
- Comfortable working hands-on with patients
- Reliable, punctual, and organized
- Willingness to learn and follow clinical protocols
- Ability to work independently while staying within the role’s scope and training
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a physiotherapy, chiropractic, massage, osteopathy, sports therapy, or rehabilitation clinic
- Experience working with athletes, active adults, or chronic pain patients
- Interest in Shockwave Therapy, sports recovery, rehabilitation, and performance care
- Strong customer service background
