Vanguard Air Care is seeking an experienced, dedicated, and professional Advance Care Paramedic (ACP) to join our aero-medical transport team.

Headquartered in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Vanguard Air Care operates four strategically located air ambulance bases across Manitoba: Winnipeg, Island Lake, Norway House, and Thompson.

Education and Experience Requirements
Applicant must:
- Have successfully completed an accredited Advance Care Paramedic Diploma program.
- A minimum of two (2) years of emergency care experience at the Advanced Care Paramedic level is required.
Candidates must also have:
- Current registration, or eligibility for registration, as an ACP with the College of Paramedics of Manitoba with no restrictions and able to function at a full scope level.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Provider Certification or equivalent (Preferred).
- Current International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) or Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) certification.
- CAMATA certification or Aeromedical Theory course.
- Proof of required immunizations.
Additional Requirements
Successful applicants must:
- Provide a Criminal Record Check, including a Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Provide clearance from the Manitoba Child Abuse Registry.
- Be eligible to obtain a Transport Canada RAIC (Restricted Area Identity Card) pass.
- Be physically and mentally capable of performing the duties of a Flight Medic – ACP.
- Must be able to work independently in remote locations.
- Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions.
- Hold a valid Canadian passport.

Responsibilities
- Assess, treat, stabilize, and prepare patients for transport, accompanying them aboard the air ambulance to the receiving facility.
- Perform advanced clinical skills and procedures in accordance with the standards and approvals established by the College of Paramedics of Manitoba.
- Maintain proficiency in the operation and routine maintenance of all medical equipment and supplies used by Vanguard Air Care.
- Report equipment malfunctions promptly and initiate repair procedures as directed.
- Ensure the aircraft remains clean, organized, and mission-ready to support rapid response to transport requests.
- Represent Vanguard Air Care and its affiliates professionally and respectfully at all times while reporting directly to the Clinical Operations Manager.
- Collaborate effectively with all members of the air ambulance team to promote safe, efficient, and positive patient outcomes.
- Maintain all required licenses, certifications, continuing education requirements, and relevant training necessary to practice within scope.
- Serve as a clinical resource, educator, and role model while actively participating in departmental initiatives, projects, and committees.
- Stay informed of current developments and best practices in transport medicine through ongoing professional development and participation in industry-related activities.
