EnVision Consultants Ltd. is looking for an experienced, motivated, team-oriented person to join our Land Development team as a Designer or Technician. As part of your role, you may expect to be involved in:

Contributing to engineering design assignments in a team environment on large multisector project teams

Participating in the development of concept, preliminary and detailed engineering drawings, designs, specifications and plans, including plan and profiles, sections and details, for design, tender, construction and as-constructed drawing sets, and contract documents

Preparing reports and other project related documentation

Participating in project management and planning on various projects

Assisting with preparing presentation materials and proposals

Proactively committing to creating a positive work environment

Supporting and/or developing Health & Safety programs

Collaborating with other disciplines at EnVision with respect to multi-disciplinary projects
-
Travel to sites within the Greater Toronto Area and Ontario, as needed

Any other functions assigned as part of your employment
To apply to this position, you should expect to have:

Degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology Diploma from an accredited university/college, with coursework to include urban water systems, municipal infrastructure, construction engineering, hydrology, and transportation

Eligibility for P.Eng. with Professional Engineers Ontario

Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D

Ability to understand and come quickly up to speed on local development design standards and regulations

Proven success in client relationship management and strong leadership skills

Comfortable interacting with public agencies, clients, contractors, and co-workers

Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
-
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively, and to proactively respond to time-sensitive issues

A valid G license and access to a vehicle to travel to and from sites (mileage to sites compensated), including valid and appropriate vehicle insurance
