Located on Newfoundland's stunning Avalon Peninsula, Cliffs Edge Retreat is an award-winning coastal destination offering accommodations, wellness experiences, dining, corporate retreats, and adventure tourism experiences.
Position Summary
As the Front Desk & Guest Services Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for our guests. You will manage reservations, coordinate guest arrivals and departures, assist with inquiries, and ensure every guest receives outstanding service throughout their stay.
This position requires strong computer skills, attention to detail, excellent communication abilities, and experience working with reservation and booking systems.
Responsibilities
- Manage guest reservations using our booking and property management systems
- Process bookings, modifications, cancellations, and payments
- Check guests in and out efficiently and professionally
- Respond to phone calls, emails, and online inquiries
- Assist guests with accommodation, dining, wellness, and activity bookings
- Maintain accurate guest records and reservation information
- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, restaurant, and operations teams
- Monitor room availability and occupancy
- Assist with group bookings, corporate retreats, and special events
- Handle guest concerns and resolve issues professionally
- Process invoices and daily financial transactions
- Support marketing initiatives through guest communication and follow-up
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk environment
QualificationsRequired
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Comfortable using computers and booking software
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable transportation to Bauline South
Preferred
- Experience in hospitality, hotels, tourism, or guest services
- Experience with property management or reservation systems
- Experience handling payments and cash transactions
- Knowledge of Newfoundland tourism attractions and experiences
