What You’ll Do:
As a Proposal Coordinator, you will support the preparation and submission of high-quality proposals and bid packages for various construction opportunities ranging from small scale to large scale mega project pursuits. Working closely with estimators, project managers, and subject matter experts, you will help gather technical information, develop clear and compelling proposal content, coordinate submission requirements, and ensure proposals are accurate, compliant, and delivered on time. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in technical writing and a record of contributing to successful proposals or project pursuits.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinate and support the development of proposals, bid packages, and prequalification submissions.
- Develop compelling, clear, and compliant proposals in response to RFPs, RFQs, and other solicitation documents.
- Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and subject matter experts to gather information and develop proposal strategies.
- Create visually appealing bid packages by incorporating graphics, charts, and other elements to enhance readability and professionalism.
- Manage proposal schedules and deadlines to ensure timely submissions.
- Ensure all proposals align with GIP’s quality standards and corporate branding guidelines.
- Review and edit proposal drafts for consistency, completeness, and compliance with RFP/RFQ requirements.
- Continuously improve proposal processes and templates to enhance efficiency and quality.
What We're Looking For:
We’re excited to meet candidates who have:
- Post-secondary education in Engineering, Heavy Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field is considered an asset.
- Construction management related experience is considered an asset.
- Technical writing course considered an asset.
- 3+ years of experience in proposal writing and/or estimating in an industrial, construction, or engineering environment.
- Strong knowledge of estimating methodologies, cost control, and project management principles.
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills with keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and estimating software.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in construction, industrial construction, mining, infrastructure, mechanical, or electrical projects would be considered an asset.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in managing proposal development and team coordination.
- Junior candidates who possess a combination of the above criteria and have a strong work ethic with a willingness to learn and grow are also encouraged to apply.
