Titan Pallets Inc. is a newly launched pallet manufacturing company based in Fort Erie, Ontario. We produce high-quality wood pallets for industrial, retail, and distribution customers. We are a growing company with a strong team culture, competitive wages, and real opportunities to advance as we expand.
The Role:
This is the sole IT role at Titan Pallets Inc. at launch. You will own everything technology-related — from setting up and maintaining our ERP system and network infrastructure through to cybersecurity, user support, and vendor management. You report directly to the Director of Operations.
This is a hands-on, generalist IT role in a manufacturing and warehousing environment. You are not managing a team or architecting enterprise systems — you are the person who makes sure the business runs without technology getting in the way. At the same time, you are building the digital foundation that a multi-facility national company will run on, so the decisions you make in Year 1 matter significantly beyond Year 1.
What You'll Be Doing:
ERP & Business Systems
-Own the day-to-day administration, maintenance, and user support for the company ERP system covering production, inventory, sales order management, and finance.
-Set up user accounts, access levels, and role-based permissions — ensuring segregation of duties is enforced at the system level.
-Coordinate with the Accountant and Production Manager to ensure data integrity across all modules.
-Generate and maintain standard reporting templates for production, inventory, and financial dashboards.
-Evaluate, recommend, and implement additional software tools as business needs evolve — CRM, route optimization, HR platforms, and others.
-Manage all software licences, subscription renewals, and vendor relationships.
Network & Infrastructure
-Set up, configure, and maintain the local area network, Wi-Fi, switches, routers, and firewall at the Brantford facility.
-Manage all company devices — desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, and any production floor terminals.
-Ensure reliable internet connectivity with appropriate redundancy — a connectivity outage that stops order entry or production reporting is a business problem, not just an IT problem.
-Configure and manage the company's cloud services.
-Set up and maintain CCTV, access control, and any other physical security technology at the facility.
-Cybersecurity & Data Protection
Implement and enforce password policies including minimum complexity standards, 90-day rotation, and mandatory multi-factor authentication for financial systems and company email.
-Ensure all company data is backed up daily to offsite or cloud storage, with a verified monthly restoration test.
-Monitor for security threats and respond to incidents promptly.
-Manage endpoint protection across all company devices.
-Ensure that critical business documents — incorporation papers, insurance, key contracts — are stored securely both on-site and offsite digitally.
-Revoke system access for departing employees on their last day as part of the exit checklist, without exception.
User Support
-Serve as the first point of contact for all IT support requests across office and warehouse staff.
-Maintain a support ticket log and target same-day resolution for issues affecting production or order management.
-Train new employees on company systems and tools during onboarding.
-Create and maintain simple user guides for the ERP and key business applications so staff can resolve common issues independently.
Business Continuity
-Maintain and test a documented IT disaster recovery plan covering system failure, data loss, and connectivity outage scenarios.
-Ensure production-critical systems have documented recovery procedures that any senior staff member could follow in an emergency.
-Maintain an inventory of spare hardware — at minimum a spare router and key cables — to enable rapid recovery from common hardware failures.
Scaling with the Business
-As the company opens or acquires new facilities across Canada and the United States, lead the technology setup at each new location using a standardized playbook you will build and own.
-Evaluate and implement multi-site network connectivity solutions as the footprint grows.
-As headcount scales, define the point at which additional IT support resources are needed and build the case for that. investment
What We're Looking For:
-Minimum 2–3 years of IT experience in a hands-on, generalist role.
-Solid experience administering Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace environments.
-Working knowledge of networking fundamentals — TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, firewall configuration.
-Experience setting up and maintaining ERP or business management software in an operational environment.
-Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices — access control, MFA, endpoint protection, backup and recovery.
-Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues independently and efficiently.
-Clear communicator who can explain technical issues to non-technical staff without jargon.
-Self-directed and able to manage multiple priorities without close supervision.
Strong Assets:
-Experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial business environment.
-Familiarity with ERP platforms such as NetSuite, Sage, or similar.
-Experience setting up IT infrastructure in a new or newly launched business.
-Relevant certifications — CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft certifications, or equivalent.
-Experience managing IT across multiple physical locations.
-Knowledge of Canadian data privacy legislation (PIPEDA) and its practical implications for a small business.
What We Offer:
-Salary: $60,000–$75,000 based on experience
-Full-time, Monday to Friday — with occasional off-hours availability expected for critical system issues.
-Direct reporting relationship with the Director of Operations.
-The autonomy to build and own the technology infrastructure of a growing national company.
-A clear path to an IT Manager or Director of Technology role as the company expands to multiple facilities.
-A well-resourced environment — we will not ask you to solve business problems with inadequate tools
Pay: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
