POSITION OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Store Manager, the Day Stocker / Warehouse Associate plays a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy, product presentation, warehouse organization, and customer satisfaction. This position combines warehouse operations with retail stocking responsibilities and requires a motivated individual who can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will assist with receiving, shipping, stocking, merchandising, inventory control, warehouse organization, and maintaining a clean and safe workplace.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Retail Stocking Duties
- Stock shelves and merchandise products throughout the store
- Retrieve products from the warehouse for store replenishment
- Break down pallets and organize merchandise for display
- Rotate stock and maintain accurate product placement
- Prepare display models and merchandising displays
- Check shelf labels, and tags accuracy
- Organize overstock and storage areas
- Assist with store cleanliness and organization
- Support promotional displays and seasonal merchandising initiatives
Warehouse Duties
- Receive, unload, sort, and verify incoming shipments
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
- Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts and order pickers (if certified)
- Organize warehouse inventory and maintain storage locations
- Perform inventory counts and stock checks
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
- Follow warehouse policies, procedures, and safety standards
General Responsibilities
- Utilize inventory systems to check stock levels and product locations
- Demonstrate a high level of accuracy, productivity, and urgency
- Follow all company health and safety policies
- Work collaboratively with warehouse, sales floor, and management teams
- Assist with additional duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent (GED)
- Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or valid work permit
- Strong command of written and spoken English
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift
- Ability to climb ladders and safely access shelving as required
- Prior warehouse, stocking, merchandising, or inventory experience preferred
- Forklift experience is an asset
- Tool, hardware, construction, or industrial product knowledge is an asset
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs
