Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behaviour Analyst (RBA) to join our team. This position is an on-going Independent Contractor Position. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in developing and implementing individualized behaviour intervention plans to support children with developmental and behavioural needs. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families, working within a collaborative and supportive environment. As a BCBA / RBA at Avoria, you will be the clinical leader of your clients' treatment teams. You will be responsible for conducting in-home assessments, designing highly individualized ABA programs, and providing expert supervision to Supervised Instructor Therapists.
Because this is a hybrid role, you will enjoy the flexibility of working remotely (for program design and data analysis) while also travelling to clients' homes to conduct assessments and provide hands-on supervision.
Duties
- Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct in-depth functional behaviour assessments (FBAs) and utilize tools like VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, and AFLS to identify each client's unique needs and strengths.
- Individualized Intervention: Develop, implement, and supervise evidence-based behaviour intervention plans designed to drive meaningful progress.
- Data-Driven Care: Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems to carefully collect, analyze, and interpret data, ensuring treatment plans remain effective and on track.
- Collaborative Ecosystems: Partner closely with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams, facilitating team meetings to review progress and adjust strategies.
- Empowering Others: Provide hands-on training, guidance, and support to caregivers and staff to ensure behaviour management techniques are applied consistently.
- Clinical Excellence: Maintain detailed, compliant documentation of all sessions and progress notes while staying current with the latest research in behaviour analysis and special education.
Requirements
- Professional Credentials: You are a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in good standing and actively registered as a Registered Behaviour Analyst (RBA) with the CPBAO.
- Relevant Experience: You bring proven experience working with children in educational or clinical settings, specifically those facing developmental or behavioural challenges.
- Safety & Compliance: You hold a clear, current Vulnerable Sector Police Check, professional liability insurance, and up-to-date First Aid, CPR, CPI certifications and Registration as an approved OAP Provider is required.
- Mobility & Readiness: With a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle (or a willingness to navigate public transit), you are ready to travel within the designated service area for impactful in-home visits.
- Technical Proficiency: You have strong data collection skills, a solid understanding of special education principles, and are comfortable using medical terminology and EMR systems.
- Compassionate Communication: Armed with immense patience and empathy, you excel at communicating with children and families, and you thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
