Assistant Warehouse Manager
The Assistant Warehouse Manager is responsible for the upkeep of the warehouse and inventory, the packing/unpacking of equipment from vehicles to prepare for upcoming events, and executing said events. Reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager and senior leadership.
Duties and Expectations;
Assistant Warehouse Manager
- Supervise and manage the daily operations of the warehouse,
- Packing vehicles for upcoming events following a “pull sheet”,
- Cleaning inventory items for events, (Including but not limited to concessions and inflatables),
- Recording and ensuring the maintenance of products that have been damaged or lost,
- Ensure efficient use of warehouse space, keeping the space clean and organized,
- Maintain safety standards and procedures to ensure a safe working environment,
- Leading other staff members in packing vehicles for events,
- Operation of warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks,
- Unpacking vehicles at the warehouse after events are completed,
- Communicating with sales team if there is any conflicts with equipment for upcoming events.
Events
- Supervising event teams,
- Setting up and tearing down all components of an event,
- Attending carnival equipment; including but not limited to: Supervising inflatables & enforcing safety rules, serving concessions, hosting games (laser tag, dunk tank, etc.)
- Completing relevant paperwork, Attend bi weekly meetings with management.
Qualifications
- Experience in a warehouse setting, and leadership role considered an asset,
- Comfortability with heavy lifting,
- Class 5 drivers license and experience driving trailers and large vehicles,
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities,
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines,
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills,
- Strong leadership skills,
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25.0 per week
