Description complète du poste

We are seeking a highly organized and detail‑oriented Machining Estimator & Service Coordinator to join our team. This dual-function role is key to supporting customers, estimating machining work, and coordinating service activities on the shop floor. The ideal candidate has experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment, understands machining processes, and can manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced setting.

Estimating

Review technical drawings and specifications to prepare accurate machining estimates.
Determine material requirements, machining time, tooling needs, and subcontracted services.
Prepare and submit quotes to customers in a timely manner.
Work closely with production and programming to validate feasibility and lead times.

Service Coordination

Act as a primary point of contact between customers, production, and internal teams.
Communicate job status updates, changes, and timelines to customers.
Coordinate with machine operators and QC to ensure smooth workflow.

Administrative & Process Support

Create and maintain job travelers, work orders, and documentation—supporting ISO processes.
Collaborate with the Shop Supervisor to align capacity, priorities, and deadlines.
Maintain accurate records in ERP systems (Epicor experience is an asset).
Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve quoting accuracy and service efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications

2+ years of experience in a machine shop, fabrication, or manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of machining processes (CNC, manual machining, tolerances, materials).
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Customer service experience and strong communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Epicor or another ERP is an asset.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to balance multiple priorities.
