Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Press Utility Associate to join our manufacturing team. This role involves supporting the operation of press equipment and ensuring smooth production processes within a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have mechanical aptitude, and familiarity with manufacturing or machining processes. This position offers an opportunity to develop technical skills and contribute to high-quality production output.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the setup, operation, and maintenance of press machinery to ensure efficient production.
- Clean pumps, blade chambers, and anilox rollers
- Keep all inspection records, and other required documentation up-to-date
- Staging of film and/or removing finished material from press and slitter area as required.
- Filing of completed dockets in storage area when required
- Filing of signed and completed colour cards in the ink room office as required
- Monitor supplies for the press area and inform Supervisor of any supplies needed.
- Support the Slitter Operators with pre-cut cores as time permits
- Provide assistance to the Press Operators during vacations and absences.
- Expected to learn and perform the duties of the Press Associate.
- Understand internal documentation i.e. SIS, Job specifications etc.,
- Follow all good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality and sanitation requirements.
- Adhere to all Quality, Safety and GMP policies and procedures and report any non-conformities
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Eligible to work in Canada
- Experience in flexible packaging printing is an asset.
- Reliable attendance
- Ability to work a rotating 12 hour Continental shift
- Work overtime as required
- Must work as a team player and show initiative in learning new tasks. Always approach any job in a healthy and safe manner
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
- Ability perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation.

- Satisfactorily completes training courses as determined by management.
Pay: $20.91-$26.20 per hour
