Direct Bore Inc. is a leading utility infrastructure contractor specializing in directional drilling, underground utility construction, and telecommunications work across Ontario.

We are currently hiring a Yard and Material Attendant to join our team in Bowmanville, Ontario. This role is a great fit for someone who is organized, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced yard environment. The Yard and Material Attendant will be responsible for organizing materials, preparing orders for field crews, assisting with deliveries, and helping keep the yard running smoothly.

Responsibilities

Organize and maintain the yard, material, tools, and equipment
Prepare material orders for crews based on project requirements
Load and unload deliveries
Receive, check, and store incoming materials
Track inventory and report low stock
Ensure materials are labelled, organized, and easy to locate
Assist crews with material pickups and returns
Keep the yard clean, safe, and free of hazards
Safely operate equipment such as a forklift, backhoe, and skid steer
Complete daily equipment circle checks and report any issues
Complete basic paperwork and inventory tracking as required
Communicate with supervisors, project coordinators, and field crews
Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures

Requirements

Previous yard, construction, warehouse, or material handling experience
Able to safely operate a forklift, backhoe, and skid steer
Equipment certifications are considered an asset
Valid G licence required
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to lift and move materials as required
Basic knowledge of construction materials, tools, or telecommunications materials is considered an asset
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
Strong communication skills
Must be safety-focused and willing to follow company procedures
