Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Abatement Worker or Supervisor to join our team. This role involves safely removing hazardous materials and performing restoration tasks in various environments. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working in challenging conditions to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
Duties
- Safely remove hazardous materials such as asbestos, lead-based paint, or mould from buildings and structures
- Use hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment to perform abatement tasks
- Assist with demolition and removal of contaminated materials during restoration projects
- Prepare work sites by setting up containment areas and ensuring proper safety protocols are followed
- Clean work areas thoroughly after abatement procedures are completed
- Follow all safety guidelines and regulations throughout the project lifecycle
- Assist with the setup and operation of specialized equipment for material removal and disposal
Skills
- Experience with cleaning, handling hazardous materials, or construction is preferred
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in abatement and restoration work
- Knowledge of construction or restoration processes is a plus
- Ability to work safely in potentially hazardous environments while adhering to safety protocols
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Good physical stamina to perform manual labor and work in various environmental conditions
