Logistics Assistant (Spain Operations)

About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Assistant for a part time role. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating with suppliers in Spain, ensuring the smooth flow of orders, shipments, documentation, and communications.
Given the nature of the role, fluency in both Catalan and Spanish is essential, as the position requires interaction with suppliers and manufacturers located in Spain.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact with suppliers, manufacturers, and logistics partners in Spain.
- Communicate professionally in Catalan and Spanish via email, telephone, and video conference.
- Coordinate purchase orders and monitor production timelines.
- Track domestic and international shipments from origin through final delivery.
- Prepare, review, and maintain shipping and customs documentation.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and transportation providers to resolve logistical issues.
- Maintain accurate records of orders, invoices, shipping documents, and supplier correspondence.
- Follow up proactively with suppliers regarding delivery schedules, product availability, and quality concerns.
- Assist in negotiating timelines and resolving discrepancies related to shipments or invoices.
Qualifications
- Fluency in Catalan and Spanish (written and spoken) is mandatory.
- Strong English communication skills; French is considered an asset.
- Post-secondary education in a related field would be helpful, for exampe logistics, supply chain management, international business, administration
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
