Job Summary
We are looking for a Shipper/Receiver to join our Macon team. You will be responsible for the well-organized and smooth preparation, documentation, and handling of incoming and outgoing parts and materials. You will also help to receive and pick parts for the warehouse. This role involves a balanced combination of administrative duties and physical work in the shop.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for packing and preparing all goods for LTL and small parcel shipments
- Package and prepare customer products and crates as required for safe shipping, load and unload trucks
- Receive and inspect shipments, confirm vendor supplied components for customers' orders, and report any inventory discrepancies, including shortages and damage
- Keep record of shipping documents
- Actively promote safe working practices, follow good warehouse practices, and participate in continuous improvement
- Keep a safe and clean work environment by complying with policies, procedures and regulations
- Ensure that tools, equipment work areas are maintained in a clean, complete and safe condition
- Other duties as required
Qualifications and Experience
- Valid forklift operating certificate an asset
- Experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment an asset
- Must meet all Health and Safety standards and lift a minimum of 50 lbs
