Peace Country Co-op is hiring a Baker in Peace River, Alberta.

What you’ll do:

Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service and respond to product inquiries
Order, receive, inspect, and store raw materials and supplies used in the preparation of baked products
Prepare, mix, and bake a variety of products including breads, rolls, buns, pastries, cookies, and specialty items according to established recipes
Operate commercial bakery equipment including mixers, proofers, ovens, and slicers safely and efficiently
Monitor product quality, freshness, and consistency throughout the baking process.
Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe work environment, including daily sanitation of bakery areas

Who you are and what you have:

Red Seal Journeyperson Baker Certification (or equivalent) considered an asset
Minimum 2–3 years of professional baking experience in a commercial or retail setting
Strong understanding of baking techniques, ingredient functions, and food safety regulations
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Available to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required
