Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our financial team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing complex accounting functions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting internal and external audits. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the financial health of our organization within a dynamic and collaborative environment. The Senior Accountant will leverage their expertise in risk management, financial analysis, and accounting software to deliver accurate financial reporting and strategic insights.

Duties

Prepare, analyze, and review financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Conduct internal audits to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and identify areas for improvement.
Manage month-end and year-end closing processes efficiently and accurately.
Support external audits by preparing necessary documentation and liaising with auditors.
Oversee risk management processes related to financial operations, identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
Utilize accounting software to record, reconcile, and analyze financial data.
Assist in developing and implementing internal policies for financial procedures and controls.
Perform detailed analysis of financial data to support strategic decision-making.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements in all financial activities.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
Proven experience in accounting within the financial services industry or similar sectors.
Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
Experience with auditing processes and internal audits is highly desirable.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent risk management skills with the ability to identify potential issues proactively.
Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across departments. This role is integral to maintaining the integrity of our financial operations while supporting strategic growth initiatives. Pay: $65,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
