Administrative Assistant

Peterborough, ON

SUMMARY
Reporting into the Regional Director, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for serving as the frontline administrator for the office. This role plays a critical part in working with employees and customers to maintain a welcoming environment in the office.

PRIMARY SCOPE OF ROLE

• Answer, screen and forward telephone calls quickly, politely and in a professional manner

• Greet people and direct them to appropriate contacts or service areas

• Operate telephone system and office equipment (copier, printer, debit card terminal)

• Obtain and process information required to provide services

• Receive, sort and distribute incoming mail and courier packages

• Prepare and send outgoing mail and courier packages

• Maintain general office supplies, place orders and distribute when received

• Perform clerical duties, such as filing

• Perform data entry for health and safety department as required

• Assist with various clerical accounting duties

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• High school education; post-secondary education an asset

• Previous experience in a receptionist/administrative role an asset

• Proficient Microsoft Office skills

WHAT WE OFFER

Fixed-term contract position from June – November 30, 2026.
Expected Hourly Wage: $22.00 per hour.
