Join Our Team as a Front Counter & Scale Clerk in Prince George
Kode Concrete is currently seeking a customer-focused, organized, and detail-oriented Front Counter & Scale Clerk to join our team for the upcoming season. This is a seasonal term role, with potential to move into a permanent, full-time position for the right candidate based on performance, reliability, and business needs.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, values accuracy, and is interested in building longer-term employment in a stable, local operation.

Key Responsibilities
Front Counter & Customer Service
- Greet and assist walk-in customers in a professional, friendly manner
- Answer incoming phone calls and direct inquiries appropriately
- Provide accurate information on products, pricing, and delivery status
- Resolve routine customer concerns and escalate issues when required
Scale Operations & Ticketing
- Operate the scale system to weigh trucks and generate accurate scale tickets for aggregates and concrete loads
- Record load details including product type, quantity, customer, and job site information
- Verify ticket information against orders and flag discrepancies for review
- Maintain organized scale ticket records and support daily reconciliation
- Coordinate with plant and dispatch staff to ensure smooth load processing
Payment Processing
- Process Visa and other electronic payments accurately at the front counter
- Issue receipts and maintain a balanced daily transaction record
- Handle cash transactions when required, following proper procedures
- Identify and report billing, pricing, or credit discrepancies
Data Entry & Administration
- Enter order and delivery information into internal systems
- Scan, file, and maintain accurate records
- Support reporting and documentation requests from operations and accounting teams
Dispatch Backup (As Needed)
- Develop familiarity with dispatch and scheduling systems
- Provide backup dispatch support during peak periods or absences
- Assist with coordinating deliveries and communicating updates to drivers and customers
Education, Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a customer-facing, front counter, or administrative role
- Previous experience in scale operations, or construction is an asset, but not required — training will be provided.
- Experience supporting invoicing or accounts administration (A/R support, receipting, reconciliation)
- Demonstrated people skills — warm, professional, and confident interacting with a wide range of customers and colleagues
- Strong organizational habits with the ability to manage multiple tasks accurately in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in ticketing, data entry, and payment processing
- Comfortable processing electronic payments (Visa/debit) and maintaining balanced transaction records
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn scale and dispatch software
- Availability for early starts and flexibility during peak season
