We are seeking a driven and experienced Project Development Manager with expertise in Geohazard Mitigation and Slope Stabilization. This role is pivotal in connecting our innovative solutions with clients across the country. As the leading force in expanding our client base, you will be responsible for fostering relationships, driving business development, and ensuring client satisfaction. You will be instrumental in identifying new opportunities, protecting existing relationships from competitor threats, and proactively addressing client needs.
In addition to managing accounts, the Project Development Manager will develop accurate cost estimates, review project plans, and collaborate with clients, engineers, and project managers to ensure timely and successful project delivery. This role directly influences our contract wins and overall project profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Account Growth
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, expanding our presence in the market.
- Build, nurture, and grow long-term relationships with key clients, ensuring repeat business and account growth.
- Strategically target new clients, developing tailored approaches to engage them with our services.
Client & Lead Management
- Maintain a deep understanding of client needs, ensuring our solutions effectively address their geohazard mitigation challenges.
- Proactively engage with potential clients, presenting our full range of services to drive interest and secure contracts.
Sales Process & Negotiation
- Prepare accurate estimates and customized proposals that align with client needs and expectations.
- Lead contract negotiations, ensuring alignment between client goals and company capabilities.
- Close deals efficiently, ensuring that all terms meet both client and company standards.
Solutions Development & Problem Solving
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to develop innovative solutions to client challenges.
- Provide clients with strategic insights, identifying opportunities to expand our services within existing accounts.
CRM & Reporting
- Maintain detailed and organized records of client interactions, estimates, and contracts using the company's CRM system.
- Track performance against business goals, sales targets, and KPIs, ensuring ongoing progress toward growth objectives.
Project Coordination & Communication
- Facilitate smooth project handoffs by clearly communicating proposals, estimates, and contract details to the project management team.
- Schedule and lead internal project kick-off meetings, ensuring seamless collaboration between sales and operations.
- Monitor project progress, provide updates to clients, and ensure expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle.
Client Satisfaction & Follow-Up
- Conduct post-project follow-ups to ensure client satisfaction, gather feedback, and cultivate long-term relationships.
- Solicit testimonials and referrals to strengthen the company’s reputation and drive future business.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in account management and business development, ideally within geohazard mitigation or related industries.
- Established network and relationships within the geohazard mitigation market.
- Strong ability to build and sustain long-term client relationships, with a knack for identifying new business opportunities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience preparing detailed estimates and proposals, with a track record of successfully closing contracts.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, with strong organizational skills to manage leads and track sales performance.
- Experience working with project managers and technical teams to deliver client-focused solutions.
- A degree in Geotechnical Engineering or a related field is an asset.
Work Environment
- Remote full-time
- Frequent travel (approximately 75%) is required to meet with clients and oversee project developments.
- Flexibility in working hours is essential to accommodate client schedules and project deadlines.

Pay: $100,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
