Duties
- Assist with the installation, inspection, and maintenance of avionics systems on aircraft
- Use hand tools and power tools to assemble and modify electrical and mechanical parts according to schematics and CAD drawings
- Read and interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and schematics to support system troubleshooting and repairs
- Conduct measurements using avionics line maintenance test equipment and other precision instruments to ensure components meet specifications
- Support heavy lifting tasks safely while handling aircraft parts or equipment during assembly or maintenance procedures, must be able to lift over 50 LBS
- Maintain accurate records of work performed using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software
Experience
- Basic understanding of electrical and avionics systems
- Approved Transport Canada accreditation in Avionics Technology
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and safety protocols in an industrial setting
- Knowledge of schematics, wiring diagrams, or CAD software such as AutoCAD or similar programs is advantageous
- Prior mechanic experience or exposure to aerospace maintenance is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills to interpret technical drawings and schematics
