Provide analytical support to deliver financial results

Support the Decision Support team in providing thought leadership that enables the site to make informed, high quality and timely decisions

Support the annual operating/capital budgets and monthly forecasting process

Provide financial and production performance variance and trend analysis, identifying cost drivers and other insights into financial results including how this affects future decisions of the site
-
Provide valuable insights through the analysis and aggregation of multiple data sets, extracting complex financial outputs in a manner that is understandable and actionable by management
-
Support predictive analysis including key cost drivers or areas of focus through-out the month for the Site to achieve Forecast/Budget

Support product costing – reviewing allocation approaches, comparability across sites and aligning where possible to enable better business decisions

Provide ad-hoc decision support including analysis & reporting as well as involvement in relevant site level projects to business partners

Support various continuous improvement and strategic initiatives across the Plant Finance group and Plant Site

Work closely with the site finance team to support the business with interpretation and implementation of accounting policies

Other duties as assigned

Post-secondary degree in Accounting or Finance
-
6+ years relevant experience with accounting cost management
-
Professional accounting or finance designation in progress or attained is preferred

Proven ability to analyze data and convert into meaningful information

Strong attention to detail

Problem-Solving skills

Reputation as a valued and trusted business partner

Able to work independently while meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment

Proficiency with MS Office Suite, with in-depth knowledge of Excel and Analytical Tools

Experience with Oracle, SAP/BW, HANA, and larger ERP systems an asset
