THE ROLE
As the Safety, Training, and Compliance Manager, you will oversee Westcor Contracting's Occupational Health & Safety program, supporting approximately 25 employees. You will evaluate existing processes and procedures, develop and implement training programs, and drive a proactive safety culture.
This position is based out of our Regina office and includes site visits 1–2 times per month to stay connected to field operations and ensure our programs remain effective.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve safety policies, procedures, and systems.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve safety training programs.
- Ensure compliance with Saskatchewan Occupational Health & Safety legislation and industry standards.
- Maintain COR certification and manage internal and external audit processes.
- Conduct incident investigations, reporting, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning.
- Conduct workplace inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments, and implement corrective actions to reduce risk.
- Manage WCB claims and coordinate return-to-work and modified work programs.
- Establish and monitor safety KPIs, analyze performance trends, and recommend improvements to reduce risk and strengthen compliance.
- Provide regular reporting and strategic updates to the Owner Group and key stakeholders.
- Manage safety documentation, training records, and compliance tracking systems.
- Drive a proactive safety culture.
- Serve as the primary contact for regulatory agencies and external auditors.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL BRING
- Strong working knowledge of Saskatchewan Occupational Health & Safety legislation.
- Proven experience building or significantly improving a safety program.
- Experience managing COR certification and audit processes.
- Experience developing KPIs, analyzing trends, and establishing measurable targets.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable learning new technologies.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a safety role.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a safety management role preferred.
- Experience in the powerline, utility, or construction industry is preferred.
- CRSP designation is preferred.

COMPENSATION
$80,000 to $120,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
