We are Large Machine Shop located in Concord Ontario Canada which specializes in high precision machining and grinding of large components. Our main customer base is in the Power Generation Industry, Power Transmission, Mining, Oil & Gas fields, along with many other Industrial Markets.
We are currently looking for a:
Junior Programmer / Manufacturing Office Assistant
Role & Responsibilities:
- Work with senior programmer to provide accurate, detailed programs to the shop floor for both lathes and mills
- Develop and maintain accurate set-up sheets for all jobs going to shop floor
- Work with purchasing / tooling manager to ensure right tools are being used and are available
- Create inhouse reference / operational drawings & shop routers when required
- Maintain proper, up to date program & back up file system
Qualifications:
- Must have Knowledge of Mastercam and Solid works,
- Knowledge of Adobe & Microsoft programs (word, excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, GD&T etc.
- Understanding of modern methods, work-holding and tooling technologies.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills to resolve issues with sound judgment
- CNC Machining experience is a definite asset
- Competency with QMS procedures and precision measurement techniques.
- Base knowledge of Siemens & Heidenhain machine controls is beneficial
