As a Senior Designer / Sales Consultant at Potvin Kitchen & Bath, you will play a key role in transforming client visions into beautifully crafted, functional spaces. You will be responsible for guiding clients through the design and sales process, from initial consultation to final installation, while ensuring a high level of service and attention to detail throughout.
This role requires strong knowledge of cabinet fabrication techniques, hardware and manufacturing components, space planning and design, field measurement, and the ability to read and interpret construction plans. A working understanding of residential construction is also essential.
Success in this position depends on excellent communication and organizational skills, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and a collaborative mindset when working with clients, colleagues, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Primary responsibilities:
· Preparing detailed production drawings for kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities, built-ins, wall units, closets, and other custom cabinetry projects
· Assisting clients—both by appointment and walk-in—by providing expert guidance, offering design recommendations, and addressing concerns with professionalism
· Guiding clients through the sales process, including converting inquiries and leads into confirmed projects through personalized service and product knowledge
· Educating clients on the proper care and maintenance of their cabinetry
· Collaborating with shop employees and the foreman to clearly communicate project details and design intent
· Coordinating with contractors, builders, and other designers to ensure smooth project execution and resolve design or installation challenges
· Conducting site visits to take accurate measurements and assess project conditions in both new builds and private homes
· Supporting the preparation of budgets and client estimates
· Researching emerging products, materials, and design trends to bring fresh ideas to client projects
· Performing administrative tasks as needed to support day-to-day operations
Requirements:
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in kitchen design and sales
· Strong working knowledge of cabinet fabrication standards, materials, and construction techniques
· Proficiency in 20/20 Design or Cabinet Vision software
· Sales-driven mindset with the ability to build strong client relationships and close projects effectively
· Excellent time management skills with a clear understanding of project schedules and deadlines
· Bilingualism (English and French) is a strong asset

Work location:
3 months of training to be completed from our office in Rockland Ontario, following your training you may opt to continue to work from our Rockland location or transition to work from our new Showroom at 155 Colonnade Road, Nepean Ontario.
Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
