Position Summary
The Senior Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items with consistency, precision, and attention to detail while maintaining the highest standards of quality and food safety. This position also leads the expo during service, ensuring clear communication, efficient coordination, and the seamless flow of service
Role Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with established recipes, quality standards, and food safety guidelines.
- Execute the grill station with consistency, precision, and attention to detail.
- Lead the expo during service, ensuring clear communication and the timely execution of every dish.
- Ensure all food is prepared and presented to Milos standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure efficient kitchen operations and a seamless flow of service.
- Assist in preparing the kitchen for service and special events.
- Support the training and development of new kitchen team members while promoting consistency and adherence to Milos standards.
- Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef with additional responsibilities as assigned.
Knowledge, Experience and Skills
- Minimum of 3–5 years of culinary experience, preferably in a high-volume, fine dining restaurant.Previous experience as a Line Cook in a high-volume fine dining environment.
- Strong knowledge of grilling techniques, cooking temperatures, food safety, and sanitation standards.
- Demonstrated leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position safely and successfully in accordance with the ADA, FMLA, and all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. as needed.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Ability to bend, lift, carry, reach overhead, and perform repetitive movements throughout the workday.
- Ability to move throughout the restaurant and kitchen, including climbing stairs as needed.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
Compensation
- The hourly pay range for this position is CA$22.00 - CA$25.00 per hour.
- The determination of what a specific employee in this job classification is paid depends on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, prior employment experience, job-related knowledge, qualifications and skills, etc.
