Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Router Operator to join our plastics manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC routing equipment to produce high-quality components. This role requires a strong understanding of CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge to ensure precision and efficiency in production processes. The Router Operator will play a vital role in supporting manufacturing operations, ensuring safety standards, and maintaining quality control throughout the production cycle.

Duties

Set up and operate CNC routing machine utilizing CAD files and CNC programming skills.
Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to accurately produce parts.
Program controllers and other programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to optimize machine performance.
Use hand tools, calipers, micrometers, tape measures and other measuring devices to verify dimensions and ensure quality standards are met.
Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
Read and interpret technical drawings for assembly and machining
Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with safety protocols.
Assist with warehouse tasks such as packaging finished products and inventory management using forklift or other warehouse equipment.
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while adhering to quality standards.

Experience

Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as table routers
Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
Experience with blueprint reading, mechanical knowledge and machining processes.
Ability to use calipers, micrometers, hand tools, and basic math skills for precise measurements.
Warehouse experience including forklift operation is a plus.
Knowledge of quality control procedures within a manufacturing industrial environment.
Prior experience working with router machines, CNC programming.
