Broadway Café & Grill is currently hiring an experienced Server/Bartender to join our team. We are looking for a reliable, professional, and customer-focused individual who can confidently handle both serving and bartending responsibilities in a busy restaurant environment.

Requirements

Previous restaurant serving experience is required.
Previous bartending experience is required.
Valid Smart Serve Certification is mandatory.
Strong knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and responsible alcohol service.
Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently during busy service periods.
Experience using restaurant POS systems and handling cash/card transactions.
Professional, friendly, and attentive approach to guest service.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
Must be comfortable working on your feet for extended periods.

Key Responsibilities

Greet guests and provide friendly, professional, and attentive service.
Take food and beverage orders accurately.
Provide guests with information about menu items, specials, and beverage options.
Prepare and serve cocktails, mixed drinks, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages.
Follow established drink recipes and proper portioning standards.
Verify identification and ensure responsible alcohol service in accordance with Ontario requirements.
Serve food and beverages efficiently and check on guests throughout their visit.
Process bills and payments accurately using the POS system.
Maintain clean and properly set tables, dining areas, and bar areas.
Keep the bar organized, clean, and appropriately stocked.
Complete opening, closing, and assigned side duties.
Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house team members.
Assist with reservations, larger groups, and special events as required.

Availability

Applicants must have flexible availability, including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
