911 Restoration of Niagara
Water Damage Restoration Technician
Location: Niagara Region, ON Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Pay: $22–$26/hr
About the Job
911 Restoration is The Fresh Start Company. We help homeowners and businesses recover from water damage, fire, mold, and other property disasters. We’re hiring a Water Damage Restoration Technician to join our growing Niagara-based team.
This is a hands-on field position working in residential and commercial properties. We’re looking for someone who brings prior restoration or construction experience and can contribute value from day one — additional training and IICRC certifications are provided to build on what you already know.
Experience in contents restoration — pack-outs, inventory, content cleaning, or move/storage — is a strong asset for this role and will be given priority consideration.
We're growing fast, and this role offers real room to advance — driven by our growth and your performance, not seniority or tenure.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform water damage mitigation and restoration services
- Set up, monitor, and move drying equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers, water extractor)
- Water extraction and removal of damaged building materials
- Assist with mold remediation and cleanup when required
- Take and document moisture meter readings
- Support contents restoration tasks — pack-out, inventory, cleaning, and storage of customer belongings
- Load, unload, and maintain restoration equipment
- Maintain clean, safe, and professional job sites
- Follow all safety procedures and company standards
- Work under the direction of the Project Manager
- Communicate professionally with customers and team members
- Participate in on-call rotation (additional pay provided)
Qualifications
- Prior experience in restoration, contents handling, or construction required
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work
- Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in low-light environments
- Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and indoors in damaged structures
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to pass background check and pre-employment screening
- Valid Ontario G license required
- IICRC certifications (WRT) an asset — training provided
What We Offer
- $22–$26/hr based on experience
- Paid IICRC certifications
- Clear path to advancement — Senior Technician, Crew Chief, or Project Coordinator — as the company grows
- Supportive and team-oriented work environment
