Kenmount Road Animal Hospital Doggy Daycare is hiring reliable and enthusiastic dog lovers to work in our dog daycare. We are on the hunt for someone who is a multitasking pro, LOVES to clean, doesn't mind hard work and wants to spend their days enriching the lives of our canine guests.

The ideal candidate is:
- extremely dependable and able to work a variety of shifts, reliability is incredibly important for the safety of everyone
- aren't put off by gross stuff (slobber and smelly odours are a regular occurrence)
- can work independently as well as on a team
- great with customers and always able to give a smile
- able to prioritize tasks, manage their time and meet the needs of the dogs promptly
- comfortable taking responsibility for the dogs, must take the position seriously
- big on team communication
- known for impeccable record keeping skill and computer savvy
- able to respond well in a fast-paced environment, able to prioritize tasks
- able to stand for prolonged periods of time, quick on their feet. This job requires stamina and physical activity
Previous job experience with animals is an asset. Reliability and a willingness to learn is a requirement. We prioritize candidates who are able to meet the above criteria.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- opening and closing daycare, greeting human and canine clients
- checking in and checking out guests on the computer, overseeing payments
- using our computer system to ensure that all records are complete and up to date
- maintaining the facility outside- raking, shovelling snow as needed etc
- communicating with owners via written report cards and face to face discussion regarding issues and general customer service
- supervising group play to ensure the physical and emotional safety of our guests- must be able to handle noise and high energy
- cleaning, cleaning, and more cleaning
-picking up poop constantly, supervising dogs outside for prolonged periods of time
- Facebook/social media posts, answering phone calls, emails etc
The chosen candidate will be trained as a daycare attendant. Must be able to lift 40-50lbs and work on their feet. This can be a physically draining job.
Must be available to work Saturday daytime shifts between the hours of 7:00am and 6:00pm along as the weekday shifts.
