Our growing airport is now accepting applications for the position of Airfield & Infrastructure Electrician.

Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Airfield & Infrastructure Manager, or other such positions decided by TRAA, the Airfield Lighting Electrician performs electrical inspections, maintenance, and repairs related to airfield lighting and building electrical systems, ensuring safe and efficient airfield operations, and compliance with TP312 and Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs). The incumbent must conduct their duties safely within Federal and Provincial regulations and guidelines.
· Perform electrical inspections, maintenance, and repairs related to airfield lighting and building electrical systems.
· Be available for “on-call” responses to after-hour lighting, signage, electrical emergencies, and winter operations.
· Ensure compliance with TP312 and Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) on the airfield.
· Participate in ongoing training, upgrades, safety, and technology advancements.
· Liaise with contractors and ensure the electrical shop and vehicles remain clean and organized.
· Assist with departmental purchases, budget planning, and implementation as required.
· Assist with the maintenance of inventory and supplies, and update Manager as required.
· Participate in safety management system, safety-related issues, and integrate safety into daily work activities.
· Assist as needed and directed by the supervisor in other related or non-related duties.
· Ensuring all proper paperwork is completed and forwarded to appropriate personnel.
· Bringing to the Manager’s attention any damage or problem areas which may be developing, also recommending solutions.
· Other duties as assigned and subject to change
Qualifications:
· Strong experience in electrical inspections, maintenance, and repairs, with a minimum of one year related to building electrical systems and airfield lighting specifically, including under adverse conditions.
· Ability to prepare and maintain written communication, reports and records
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
· Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
· Completion of Manitoba or Inter-Provincial Journeyperson Red Seal ticket
· Valid Class 5 driver's license (Intermediate or Full), ability to obtain Class 3 driver’s license if required.
· Ability to obtain Restricted Area Pass, Airside Vehicle Operator Permit, and ROC-A Radio License.
