Seeking an HR professional who is eager to put their human resources and management skills to action in a fast paced, high pressure unionized work environment. CLS Catering Services (part of LSG Sky Chef & Cathay Pacific) offers you the opportunity to be part of the inner workings of an exciting industry in a diverse and dynamic environment.

Position Overview: Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the HR Coordinator supports the full employee lifecycle by providing administrative, operational, and advisory support across all HR functions. This role is responsible for recruitment coordination, onboarding, HRIS data integrity, benefits and payroll support, training administration, employee relations assistance, and compliance activities. The HR Coordinator ensures seamless HR operations while delivering high-quality service to employees, managers, and cross-functional partners.

Job Description:

Support full‑cycle recruitment, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and administration of Criminal Background checks and reference checks.
Manage new hire onboarding, orientation sessions, and training materials; ensure completion and accuracy of all new hire paperwork.
Coordinate onboarding workflows in HRIS (Workforce Now), and collaborate with Payroll, IT, and hiring managers to ensure timely set-up and access for new staff.
Maintain accurate employee files and HR records, ensuring confidentiality, compliance, and timely updates to HRIS systems.
Process employee life‑cycle changes including promotions, compensation updates, leaves, terminations, and performance status updates.
Prepare HR documentation such as employment agreements, employment verification letters, and other employee-related correspondence.
Respond to employee inquiries providing guidance on HR policies, programs, and procedures.
Support conflict resolution, workplace investigations, and employee relations matters.
Conduct and analyze exit interviews, tracking trends and recommending improvements.
Ensure compliance with CBA, employment legislation, OHSA regulations, and organizational policies.
Coordinate training sessions, track attendance, and manage reporting and evaluation processes.
Support rollout of HR programs, communications, change management initiatives, and organizational development activities.
Administer employee benefit programs (disability claims, pension plans); track eligibility, enrollment, and documentation.
Assist with payroll‑related documentation such as new hires, changes, leaves, corrections, and termination updates.
Manage offboarding processes including termination documentation, HRIS updates, exit surveys, and coordinating IT/asset retrieval.
Ensure adherence to HR policies, collective agreements (where applicable), and regulatory requirements.
Contribute to policy development, process improvements, and organizational change initiatives.
Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of HR best practices, legislative changes, and compliance standards.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Experience:

Minimum 2 years of experience in a fast-paced HR operations environment, preferably hospitality or airline.
Experience in ADP WFN strongly preferred.
Working knowledge of Employment and Labor laws.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and patiently with diverse individuals.
Effective written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Proficient in English.
