POSITION OBJECTIVE
Bethesda’s Children’s services requires one (1) Full-Time Contract Learning and Development Coordinator. The length of this contract is three (3) months.
Working to promote Bethesda’s values, vision and mission statement and promote a high standard of quality client care. The Learning and Development Coordinator will facilitate the new staff orientation process and design and/or deliver staff development opportunities across all Children and Youth Services programs. The Learning and Development Coordinator is responsible for scheduling and completing staff program evaluations, supporting Learning and/or Performance Improvement Plans and scheduling mandatory training activities.
Key Job Responsibilities

Provide Brief Clinical Consultation Services.

Provide Resource Consultation Services.

Facilitate community connections, program registrations and referrals and share resources.

Develop resources and program materials.
-
Maintain client records and complete documentation as required.

Develop and integrate community partnerships with service and support options.
-
Investigate ideas and plan the integration of engaging community activities into service options.
-
Provide Coaching and Support to Caregivers, Community Partners, CYS Team Members, and Students.
- Collaborate with Community Partners and Interdisciplinary Team Members.
- Complete Quality Assurance Measures/Tools.

Facilitates appropriate internal and community referrals.

Develop and facilitate training opportunities for CYS staff, and Community Partners.
- Facilitate the implementation of the Clinical Training Manual for new staff.

Facilitate Caregiver and Children and Youth Workshops.

Actively participate in administrative team meetings.
-
Collect and analyze data.
- Actively participate in team meetings and provide suggestions, creative ideas and recommendations for strengthening CYS.
-
Comply with Bethesda policies and procedures relating to health and safety.
-
Responsible for reporting all health and safety concerns immediately following the Internal Responsibility System.

Perform administrative tasks as required including documentation and resource development.

Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
-
University degree in Human Behaviour and/or Developmental Psychology or College diploma and an Autism and Behavioural Sciences Certificate.

Board Certified Assistant Behavioural Analyst (BCaBA) or Board Certified Behavioural Analyst (BCBA) preferred.

Minimum of three years experience providing ABA supports to individuals with Autism and provide coaching and support to staff.

Thorough knowledge of theory and best practice in Learning & Development.

Experience in developing, reviewing and delivering learning and development solutions.

Experience in facilitating and leading groups.

Knowledge of motivational, perceptual, and emotional forces and how they affect the learning process.
- Demonstrated ability to train, coach, evaluate, and improve others.
- Experience working within a multi disciplinary team.

Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS)

Valid Driver’s License.

First Aid Training and CPR Certification.

Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certified.
