Discovery Silver Corp. has an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Planner.

A growing North America Precious Metals Company, Discovery is committed to combining high-quality gold producing assets in Canada with the world’s largest undeveloped silver deposit in Mexico.

Discovery has an experienced team, dedicated to being a highly profitable producer of gold and silver that generates superior returns, delivers substantial social-economic benefits and meets the highest environmental standards.

The Position:
Reporting to the Reliability and Planning Coordinator, the Electrical Planner’s primary duties will include, but not be limited to:

Supporting the operation in preventative, corrective and reactive maintenance work processes and providing feedback to optimize plant reliability by identifying and recommending opportunities for improvement of area activities or problem equipment;
Process incoming requests for work through to building work packages;
Manage material and external skills requirements to support completion of work;
Collaborate with production resources to schedule equipment availability and to prioritize work;
Support efficient use of materials through maintaining Bills of Material, proposing stock requirements, managing material returns from the field, and utilizing staging areas; and
Provide relief coverage for other planner areas as required.

Skills and Qualifications:

A valid Certificate of Qualification as an Industrial Tradesperson or equivalent workplace experience
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate well with peers, operations, engineering, and management;
Previous experience in planning, scheduling and/or expediting
Solid software skills with MS Excel, MS Word, CMMS preferably proficient with Mincom Ellipse
Self-starter, independent and driven with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
