We are looking for an exceptional Director of Student Experience to join our team.

Position Summary:
The Director of Student Experience is a senior leadership role responsible for defining and executing the strategic vision for student support, academic coordination, and career development at Computek College. This position leads the Student Services and Career Services departments while also supporting academic operations in collaboration with faculty leadership to ensure a cohesive and high-quality student journey.
The Director is accountable for enhancing student success, engagement, and career readiness while ensuring compliance with the Ontario Career Colleges Act and institutional policies. This role works cross-functionally to continuously improve academic support, student services delivery, and overall institutional effectiveness
Duties and Responsibilities:
Academic Leadership & Education Department Oversight

Direct and lead the planning, development, and implementation of various policies as they relate to the Education Department.

Direct and supervise the academic and administrative management of policies, procedures, and processes.

Monitor the development, implementation, and tracking of faculty professional development and learning plans.

Ensure the development of programs and services required for student success, employability, and improvement of educational outcomes for community members.

Provide leadership in the effective and efficient administration of educational services and academic programs.

Guide the faculty team in supporting student success and program completion outcomes.
Student Success & Retention Strategy

Ensure seamless collaboration between Student Success, Career Services, and Education to foster student success and retention.

Provide leadership in developing and implementing student success strategies across departments.

Establish systems to identify and assess student needs and support individualized success plans for program completion.

Collaborate with internal departments to assess student needs and improve student support services.

Monitor best practices in student advising, orientation, engagement, and retention strategies.

Oversee initiatives aimed at improving student retention and overall student experience.
Career Services & Employability Outcomes

Oversee Career Services initiatives that support student employability and career readiness.

Ensure students have access to internal and external resources to support employment outcomes.

Collaborate with external organizations and educational partners to enhance teaching, learning, and employment support strategies.

Promote initiatives that strengthen student transition from education to employment.
Policy Development, Compliance & Quality Assurance

Provide leadership in developing, establishing, and administering departmental policies and procedures.

Stay updated on federal and provincial legislation, regulations, and Career College policies and procedures.

Ensure compliance with all regulatory and institutional requirements across academic and student service functions.

Ensure regular review and evaluation of student services, academic programs, and operational processes.
Strategic Planning & Cross-Functional Leadership

Collaborate with executive leadership to support institutional strategic goals and student success initiatives.

Work closely with Admissions, Marketing, and Academic departments to ensure alignment across the student lifecycle.

Lead or support institutional projects aimed at improving student experience, retention, and operational efficiency.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement across student-facing departments.
Required Qualifications:
-
Minimum five (5) years of progressive experience in higher education, student services, academic support, or related leadership roles.

Minimum five (5) years of supervisory or departmental leadership experience.

Strong understanding of post-secondary academic operations and student service delivery.
-
Experience working within regulatory frameworks such as the Ontario Career Colleges Act or equivalent.

Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and initiatives.

Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Education, Higher Education Leadership, Student Affairs, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience leading student services and academic support functions in a post-secondary environment.

Experience in career services, employer engagement, or student placement operations.

Strong background in program development, student engagement strategy, or institutional effectiveness.
