Job Summary
International House (IH) Vancouver is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Student Recruitment & Admissions Coordinator to support our growth in the local BC markets. This is an entry-to-mid-level role perfect for someone who is passionate about education and enjoys providing high-quality support to prospective students. You will work under the guidance of Senior Management to execute recruitment activities and ensure a smooth admissions process.
Key Responsibilities
Active Sales and Student Recruitment
· Actively engage with prospective students from the local Vancouver area through email, phone, and online chat.
· Manage the recruitment funnel by converting initial inquiries (leads) into confirmed enrollments through persistent and professional follow-up.
· Assist in executing marketing activities to attract potential students and increase enrollment.
· Serve as the primary point of contact for educational consultants and providing them with the sales tools and information needed to recruit on behalf of IH Vancouver.
· Represent the college at local recruitment fairs, webinars, and info sessions to build the student pipeline
· Help track outbound student trends and stay updated on the BC private career college landscape.
Admissions & Documentation
· Provide high-level consultations to help students choose the right vocational or language programs.
· Assist in the end-to-end admissions process, from initial inquiry to final enrollment.
· Guide local students through the basics of the StudentAid BC application process and provide information on eligibility.
· Maintain accurate student files and ensure all enrollment contracts meet PTIRU and EQA standards.
· Compile data for weekly recruitment updates and basic KPI tracking.
Qualifications
· Bilingual Proficiency: Full fluency English (written and verbal) is required.
· Education: A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
· Experience: 1–2 years of experience in customer service, sales, or administrative support in a Canadian schools or colleges.
