Screen Print Technician – Automatic Press Operator

Pressing Matters Screen Printing is looking for an experienced Screen Print Technician / Automatic Press Operator to join our production team in Burnaby, BC.
This is a full-time position for someone with previous professional screen printing experience. We are looking for a printer who understands the screen printing process and is comfortable setting up, operating, and maintaining an automatic screen printing press.
Previous screen printing industry experience is required.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate an automatic screen printing press
- Register and set up single-colour and multi-colour print jobs
- Mix and manage inks as required
- Load screens, squeegees, flood bars, and inks
- Adjust print settings, including pressure, speed, off-contact, and stroke
- Perform test prints and make adjustments to achieve accurate registration and consistent print quality
- Monitor production runs for print quality, placement, colour, and consistency
- Troubleshoot common printing and press issues
- Operate flash units and conveyor dryers
- Understand proper curing temperatures and procedures
- Follow work orders and production specifications
- Maintain an efficient production pace while maintaining quality
- Clean and maintain press equipment and work areas
- Assist with screen preparation, reclaim, ink management, and other production duties when required
- Work closely with the production team to keep jobs on schedule
What We're Looking For
- Previous professional screen printing experience is required
- Experience operating an automatic screen printing press
- Strong understanding of screen printing setup and registration
- Experience with multi-colour printing
- Understanding of plastisol and/or water-based inks
- Knowledge of flash curing and conveyor dryer operation
- Ability to troubleshoot common screen printing problems
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Ability to work efficiently in a production environment
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team
- Comfortable working independently once a job has been assigned
Experience with M&R or Workhorse automatic presses is an asset.

We work with a wide variety of clients and garments, so we're looking for someone who takes pride in producing clean, consistent work and understands the importance of both quality and production efficiency.
This is not an entry-level screen printing position. We're looking for someone with hands-on industry experience who can confidently work with an automatic press and contribute to production from day one.
