We are an established trading company located in Vancouver, seeking a highly skilled Senior Logistics Coordinator to join our team. This pivotal role requires a detail-oriented professional with extensive experience in logistics and supply chain management to oversee our import and distribution operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the management team to track and manage import shipments and distribution freight logistics.
- Oversee shipment schedules, ensuring seamless coordination with various mills to guarantee timely arrivals.
- Monitor and update the status of freight movements, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in logistics processes.
- Communicate dispatch information effectively and respond to customer inquiries with professionalism.
- Lead process improvements and participate in strategic planning to enhance logistics operations.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, with a proven track record in a senior role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with ERP systems; Acumatica experience is highly desirable.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, multitask effectively, and work proactively within a team environment.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and negotiation skills.
- Fast and accurate typing ability, with a minimum typing speed of 50 words per minute.
