About the Role
We are currently hiring for two Product Technician positions supporting our Croissant and Puff Pastry product categories.
This is an exceptional opportunity for an aspiring bakery product developer who wants to build a long-term career in product innovation. Working alongside experienced Product Managers, you will receive hands-on training and mentorship while contributing to the development and commercialization of new products.
The successful candidates will be developed into future product leaders, with the opportunity to assume increasing responsibility as part of a planned succession strategy within the organization.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and commercialization of new croissant or puff pastry products from concept through launch.
- Assist in formula development, ingredient selection, and product optimization.
- Participate in plant trials and scale-up activities, ensuring successful transition from bench-top concepts to full production.
- Collaborate with Production, Quality Assurance, Procurement, and Project Management teams throughout the product development process.
- Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, specifications, and trial reports.
- Evaluate opportunities for process improvements and cost optimization without compromising product quality.
- Support multiple product development projects while meeting established timelines.
- Contribute to continuous innovation within the bakery portfolio.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Baking & Pastry Arts, Food Science, or a related discipline.
- 2–4 years of experience in product development, R&D, product commercialization, or innovation within the food manufacturing industry.
- Strong practical baking skills with a solid understanding of croissants, laminated doughs, pastries, and ingredient functionality.
- Eagerness to learn, accept mentorship, and grow into a future leadership role.
- Passion for bakery science, ingredient functionality, and product innovation.
- Experience working in commercial bakery environments and fast-paced manufacturing settings is an asset
- Knowledge of food production processes, product development, and commercialization best practices.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Self-motivated, flexible, and results-oriented with strong attention to detail.

- Salary: up to $ 90,000 annually (depending on experience)
