Position Overview & Schedule
This is an on-call, casual position perfect for someone looking for flexible work or extra income. When our job volume exceeds our standard capacity, we will call you in to assist.
- The Opportunity: While this role starts as on-call/as-needed, we are actively looking for standout workers. For the right person who proves their reliability, work ethic, and care for customer property, this position can quickly transition into a permanent, full-time role.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead driver with packing, loading, securing, and unloading household and commercial goods.
- Carefully wrap, pad, and protect furniture and fragile items to prevent any damage during transit.
- Safely operate moving equipment (dollies, straps, ramps) and lift heavy items up and down stairs.
- Maintain a polite, professional, and helpful attitude with customers on the job site.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure jobs are completed safely and efficiently.
Requirements:
- Physical Stamina: Must be physically fit and capable of heavy lifting (75+ lbs repeatedly throughout the day).
- Reliability: You must be dependable. When you accept an on-call shift, we need you to show up on time, every time.
- Professionalism: Clean appearance, good communication skills, and a respectful attitude toward clients and their belongings.
- Transport: Reliable transportation to get to our shop or designated local pickup points early in the morning.
- Experience: Prior experience in moving, delivery, warehousing, or heavy labor is a major asset, but we will train the right attitude.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Rate: $22.00 – $26.00 / hour (depending on experience).
- Job Type: Casual / On-Call (Leading to Full-Time).
Pay: $23.00-$30.00 per hour
