We are seeking an experienced Investment and Banking Adviser to support our strategic investment initiatives in key Africa m , with a particular focus on the emerging fintech market in Nigeria. This role involves providing high-level financial guidance, managing complex banking relationships, navigating the Nigerian legal and regulatory environment, and contributing to the development of investment strategies in the region. The ideal candidate will bring extensive hands-on experience in financial services, particularly in client relationship management, portfolio performance oversight, credit risk monitoring, compliance, and investment advisory within African markets. Duties
Provide comprehensive investment advice tailored to clients and regional economic conditions, with a strong focus on fintech opportunities and investment potential in Nigeria Assist with cash management strategies and liquidity optimization, drawing on practical experience in Nigerian and international banking operations Conduct detailed research on market trends, fintech investment opportunities, and regional economic data across African markets Support the development of financial models and forecasts, informed by real-world banking and portfolio management experience Manage banking relationships in Nigeria and internationally, ensuring efficient transaction processing and full compliance with Nigerian legal and regulatory standards Monitor and analyze financial performance metrics, with particular emphasis on credit portfolio oversight to maintain low non-performing loan ratios Collaborate with local stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and fintech ecosystem players in Nigeria to align investment strategies with regional development goals Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders, highlighting key insights on Nigerian market opportunities, regulatory considerations, and recommendations for fintech investments Lead strategic initiatives that drive business growth and support the employer’s expansion into Nigeria’s emerging fintech sector
Requirements / Skills
Extensive practical experience in banking and financial services (minimum 10+ years preferred), with a proven track record in client relationship management, portfolio performance tracking, credit risk management, and compliance within Nigerian or African banking environments Demonstrated understanding of the Nigerian legal and regulatory environment in the banking and financial services sector, including compliance frameworks, operational risk guidelines, and regulatory navigation for investment activities . Formal legal training. Strong experience in managing high-value client portfolios, monitoring credit risk (targeting low non-performing ratios), and ensuring adherence to operational risk and compliance standards Proficiency in cash management, liquidity optimization, and financial operations within Nigerian and international banking contexts Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate market trends, economic data, and fintech investment opportunities in emerging African markets Strong quantitative and modeling skills for financial forecasting and decision support, grounded in practical banking application Effective communication skills for high-level client interaction, regulatory engagement, report writing, and collaboration in international and multicultural settings Proven ability to lead strategic initiatives and support business growth in dynamic markets Prior extensive experience working in African markets — particularly Nigeria — with deep knowledge of local banking practices, fintech landscape, client relationship management, and regulatory compliance is essential Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team in an international setting .

Pay: $120,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
